No. Tickets can be purchased directly through the links provided in the eblast and on our website – without an app or an account. Google Chrome is the recommended browser.
Yes! A waitlist will open at 12pm EST on Sunday, June 28th.
For those looking to audition at DTCB, please note that is strategically designed to provide support throughout the entire application process, so participation in all elements; INFORM, PREPARE, and APPLY, is critical to student’s successful participation in the DTCB Program. This is especially true for participation in the DTCB Audition. With this in mind, students must have a Ticket Package for DTCB (In-Person or Virtual) in order to join the waitlist for a “+Audition” Ticket Package so that they are participating in the full DTCB Program and are prepared to join the DTCB Audition if invited to move of of the waitlist. If you were hoping to get a “ +Audition “ Ticket Package but did not, you should get an In-Person or Virtual Ticket Package (non-audition) so that you can join the waitlist for a “+Audition” Ticket Package. This ensures that your student is still joining the DTCB Program in a timely manner, benefiting from all materials leading up to the audition, and will be best equipped for success at the DTCB Audition.
Try again in Batch 2. If you don’t get it then, you can purchase a non-audition Ticket Package and join the Waitlist on June 28th.
YES! Participating in the DTCB Program is of great value, even without attending our Audition! Non-auditioning DTCB Students will still receive all of the same educational materials/sessions, be able to make meaningful connections with Program Representatives from across the country and abroad, and better understand the field at large through DTCB. Holding one of these tickets also allows you to join the waitlist for a ” + Audition ” Ticket Package.
- If you no longer wish to participate in DTCB, your ticket fees will go towards our Go Beyond Scholarship Fund or to support our Brooklyn non-profit organization, Dancewave.
- If you purchased the “wrong” ticket, we encourage you to still participate in DTCB as your purchased ticket allows, as you will certainly find benefit in the DTCB Sessions that you can join for. If your desired ticket is still available for purchase, you may pursue the “correct” ticket through a second purchase, with the knowledge that all ticket purchases are final, non-refundable, and non-transferrable.
You can see an up to date list of Participating Programs on our 2026 Program Overview Page. Please know that Programs are being added there as they register and that this list will NOT be final until September, as Program Registration remains open until then.
Given current circumstances, there will NOT be an event on the West Coast. However, DTCB has made efforts to improve the accessibility of our program by increasing student capacity and continued enhancements to the virtual participation options.
No. Only 1 ticket per student is allowed. Auditionees must choose whether they will audition in-person or virtually by 9/1/2026.
Yes! We encourage underclassmen to attend DTCB as it’s a great way to build relationships with colleges/universities/dance programs before you have to audition. There are so many programs out there and by attending DTCB before your senior year, you’ll gain invaluable insights to prepare you for the application process. You’ll also be able to meet school representatives, ask pertinent questions and learn directly from industry professionals.
Unfortunately, due to capacity limitations we are unable to transfer tickets. Please email dtcb@dancewave.org if you are no longer able to attend.
Your DTCB audition will be considered by all audition panel programs. We recommend connecting with program representatives if you wish to explore opportunities to submit supplementary materials or want to participate in auditions hosted directly by that program.
Students are responsible for completing and submitting all application requirements outside of the audition (essays, test scores, transcripts, etc.) Keep in mind some programs require you to apply to both the school and department separately.
Every program is on their own timeline but will contact auditionees directly about scholarship offers and program acceptances by May 2027. If you want specific dates, connect with program representatives.
DTCB is not involved in the decision making process for any program and does not receive notification of students admission offers or scholarships. DTCB is not responsible for any correspondence between candidates and school after the event closes.
