- The benefit of auditioning with DTCB is your ability to be seen by so many schools at once!
IMPORTANT- the audition is only part of the application process. Most schools require you to directly apply to the college/university to be accepted.
On August 26th, we will inform you of your waitlist status. You will have exactly one week to provide the correct information and confirm your spot.
Unfortunately, due to capacity limitations we are unable to transfer tickets to people outside of our registrations.
- Unless a school has stated otherwise, your DTCB audition will be considered your audition for that program. Keep in mind some schools require you to apply to both the school and department separately. Make sure you state which school(s) you are interested in at registration to ensure we inform the appropriate schools of your interest (you can select “ALL” if you would like to be considered for every school). You can still audition directly at the school if you would like but most audition panel schools will consider your DTCB audition for their program.

- Yes! We encourage underclassmen to attend DTCB as it’s a great way to build relationships with colleges/universities/dance programs before you have to audition. There are so many programs out there and by attending DTCB before your senior year, you’ll gain invaluable insights to prepare you for the application process. You’ll also be able to meet school representatives, ask pertinent questions and learn directly from industry professionals.
- Your ticket option will be either virtual or in person Basic Fair.
WHOVA
The DTCB Whova App will go live a month before the first day of the event. Once it is live you will receive an email. After you’ve accessed and updated your account you will be able to go through the college booths and speak to representatives at your leisure. We highly suggest you participate in the community boards and build out your profile for college representatives to view. Until the Whova app goes live, we will be updating dtcb.dancewave.org with pertinent information.
- Once the Whova app is live, this is your time to build out and update your Whova profile! As a student, this is your first impression of the Dance Programs before they meet you at the Virtual College Fair or Networking event. Make sure you showcase yourself appropriately. During this time, you can join community boards and ask your peers, college representatives, and Dancewave staff questions. Remember, the discussion boards are public and can be viewed by all attendees who participate in DTCB.
- Your ticket option will be Prepare – underclassmen – $75.
Please make sure that your account has a different email to either the parent or student. Sometimes the profile you may be trying to access has a different email attached and therefore is unavailable (Whova also deletes duplicate profiles with the same email). A parent and student profile are only possible when they are registered to separate emails. At registration, please ensure you are inputting separate emails that you check frequently.
