PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Dance at SUNY Potsdam allows for a wide variety of combinations of interdisciplinary work in such areas as theatre, music, psychology, community health and business. These combined courses of study prepare students for further investigation and work in such fields as dance therapy, nutrition, fitness, dance ethnology, arts administration and private studio ownership. Students in the major program focus on two tracks: Technique and Composition.

NOTABLE ALUMNI:
Jenna Del Monte: MFA – has performed professionally with Geomantics Dance Theater, Melanie Aceto Contemporary Dance, Habit Dance Project, Buffalo Contemporary Dance Company, Biggs and CO, Dance Repertory Theatre, as well as worked closely with notable choreographers: Dan Wagoner, Michael Foley, Taye Diggs, Lynda Davis, Gerri Houlihan, Tim Glenn, Jawole Zollar, and others. She is Artistic Director and founder of the K.U.M.P Dance Collective, which is based in New York City and serves to assist pre-professional dancers entering the NYC dance scene, while consistently developing new works. Her choreography has been shown nationally and she has been commissioned to set pieces and teach master classes in several college dance programs across the country. Among creating choreography for the proscenium theater, Jenna also creates dance on film, serving all roles of choreographer, videographer and editor.
