PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
The Division of Dance ranks among the top 10 dance programs in the country. Students train under highly respected faculty who have danced, choreographed or collaborated with renowned dance artists and companies such as Martha Graham, José Limón, New York City Ballet, the Royal Ballet School in London, Boston Ballet, Rudra Bejart and Jump Rhythm Jazz. Students dance the masterworks of 20th- century greats such as Balanchine, Graham and Limón and contemporary artists such as Adam Hougland, Robert Battle and Paul Taylor. In addition to rigorous dance training, students also receive a world-class liberal arts education, becoming versatile graduates ready to enter the marketplace with a broader understanding of the world. Many students augment their dance education with a second major. Meadows also offers a minor in arts entrepreneurship, perfect for those who someday want to start their own company or open a dance studio.
