PROGRAM EMPHASIS: Missouri State University prides itself on the variety of dance styles offered. Every semester includes multiple levels of ballet, contemporary, tap, and jazz. Other dance techniques offered on rotation include partnering, contact improvisation, somatic practices, pointe, and musical theatre styles. Students also take theory courses such as pedagogy, kinesiology, choreography, and history.
